Ah, technology! Nothing like finding out that after a few years of trying to learn this networking thing, you have been going about it all wrong.
When Facebook became popular a few years back, I started a Fans of Curious Sofa group page and have since miraculously acquired over 1,900 fans! (Thank you!!!) Now since the 'Like" button has become all the rage and is the newfangled way to manage a business's customer base, I have learned I have been doing this thing all wrong! Who knew?!!
In a nutshell, I need to ask all of you to move on over to the new Curious Sofa Facebook page (curioussofa.com/facebook) which I have loaded with all the best pictures and posts from the old page, and more.
This has become important to me as I keep building the Curious Sofa online business because Facebook, rather than this blog, seems to be the one format most of you prefer. It's easier for me to post, less time for you to view and the most current way to keep you informed of new merchandise, antiques and Curious Sofa happenings. In fact, I am this close to replacing this blog for it as it seems less obtrusive for you.
Also, like many of you, I am really getting into the Pinterest groove and posting a lot of visual stimulation there. The data shows I have more followers on Pinterest than this blog, so again, another reason to fine tune my networking.
So enough of this, PLEASE FOLLOW! And stand by for 40 new items to be listed this weekend from my recent trip to Nashville. YeeHaw.

I have loved reading your blog for some time now and would be sad to see you abandon it but I do understand (as a fellow business woman) the need to make the best use of your time promoting your business...so I will follow you where ever you decide to be; however, I would really miss the personal insights, trials and tribuklations that you have shared with everyone on your blog...
Best of luck and keep up the great work. You have such a good eye for beautiful things.

I'm beginning to see a trend with bloggers leaning more towards story telling and a personal invitation to those who want a closer connection with the writer, while FB gives that instant gratification fix that so many need/want/are addicted to.
When I want a fast overview of what a business or shop is about I look for a FB link...maybe check their Pinterest boards...but when I want to be immersed in "who" is doing the selling or designing or renovating...I grab a cup of coffee and blog hop.
It's all so ever changing with social media that sometimes I just feel exhausted and don't really know where to devote my time but what I've begun to formulate for my own plan is FB for quick fixes and wide reaching connectivity, Pinterest for "expression" and fun, and blogging for smaller crowds. A personal, come sit with me and let's talk, sort of thing.
So far I haven't done any one of these things well and mostly because I just get confused and tired when I try to figure out how to connect everything to everything else lol
So interesting to hear your take on it all and great food for thought. Whatever you decide to do I know it will continue to thrive and thrill us all :)
